MANIFOLDS
For the QVT-SV Differential Pressure Transmitter, we offer a line of both 3-Valve and 5-Valve Manifolds that mount directly under the QVT Differential Pressure Transmitter.
LINE MOUNTED PURGE
The Line Mounted Purge or LMP is a low-volume continuous purge that is used to purge either the pitots or the transmitter for particulate-laden air streams. When used to purge the transmitter, the LMP will deliver a continuous volume of air through the impulse lines, to ensure that no dust, particulate, or moisture can travel through the impulse lines and enter the transmitter.

QVT-SV: DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE TRANSMITTER
What is the QVT-SV?
The QVT-SV Differential Pressure Transmitter will measure the Differential Pressure (Velocity Pressure) within nearly any low pressure ductwork and will deliver either a Differential Pressure or un-compensated 4-20 mA mass flow signal. The QVT-SV can be used with Eastern Instruments brand
flow elements or with any other manufacturer's brand of DP based flow elements. While the QVT-SV Differential Pressure Transmitter is perfect for any application under 9 in WC, it is especially accurate for draft range applications where the Differential Pressure can be under 1 in WC.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- MODE OF OPERATION: Differential Pressure Transmitter that will output Differential Pressure or Flow (which is uncompensated for Absolute Pressure or Temperature) via a 4-20 mA signal
- PROCESS SEAL: Our unique method of isolating sensors from the process requires no diaphragm seal, meaning that the QVT-SV can measure a much lower DP than traditional transmitters with diaphragm seals. Sensor Isolation can be further enhanced by using a Purge Seal (Low Volume Continuous Purge coupled directly to transmitter)
- FLOW ACCURACY: Accuracy of measurement can be as high as +/-0.50% of reading over a 100:1 range in DP and a 10:1 range in flow
- RANGEABILITY: Can be ranged from 0 to 0.1 in WC up to 0 to 8 in WC
- RESPONSE TIME: Updates flow calculation 10 times a second
- FUNCTIONALITY: All measured and calculated variables are available on LCD panel
- OUTPUT: 4-20 mA output that can be set to Differential Pressure or Flow
- SIMPLICITY: Ae and the 4-20 mA full scale value are set from the LCD/push button interface
- ZERO: Differential Pressure can be zeroed from the LCD/push button interface
- POWER SUPPLY: Loop Power 8.8 to 42.5 vDC range
- VERSATILITY: LCD can be rotated independently of the head (LCD rotates 270o and the head can rotate 180o for ultimate adjustability)

APPLICATIONS

QVT-SV APPLICATIONS
The QVT Differential Pressure Transmitter can be used in a wide range of applications in a variety of sectors for accurate Differential Pressure based measurement. Whether coupled with an array of Eastern Instruments
Insertion pitots or with another manufacturer's flow element, the QVT Differential Pressure Transmitter will accurately output either the DP or flow of air traveling through your duct work. Below are just a few applications.
PERFECT FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS
The QVT-SV is perfect for new installations and can easily be coupled with nearly any manufacturer's DP based flow element, including Eastern Instruments' own
High Beta flow element, pictured here. Typically coupled with standard 3-Way or 5-Way Valves, the setup and installation of the QVT-SV is extremely simple.
- COMMON QVT-SV APPLICATIONS
- Combustion Air
- Pneumatic Conveyance Systems
- Industrial Drying Processes
- Process Exhaust Systems
- Scrubbers
- Industrial Oven Vent Lines
PERFECT FOR RETROFIT INSTALLATIONS
The QVT-SV Differential Pressure Transmitter is perfect for retrofit installations as well, especially since the QVT-SV will work with any new or existing DP based flow element, making the QVT-SV perfect for retrofit applications where a transmitter is needed for an existing element. The optional mounting bracket for the QVT-SV Differential Pressure Transmitter allows it to be pipe mounted in either the horizontal or vertical plane.
- COMMON QVT-SV APPLICATIONS
- Combustion Air
- Pneumatic Conveyance Systems
- Industrial Drying Processes
- Process Exhaust Systems
- Scrubbers
- Industrial Oven Vent Lines
