Duct Section
The High Beta
® consists of a .707 High Beta
® Duct Section. Accuracy is to within 0.5% and repeatability to within 0.1%. Testing certification in an AMCA rated test chamber is available.
Basic Installation
The High Beta
® can be simply installed within flanged ducting. The VAP
3® Pitot arrays are internally manifolded and connected to the through-wall fittings.
Primary Flow Element
The High Beta
® is available with either the VAP
3®/SA for clean airflow applications or the VAP
3®/PA for heavy particulate applications.
Integral Straighteners
The High Beta
® design improves the flow profile and eliminates turbulent, cyclonic, and reverse flow. Integral to the flow entry zone is a vane array to eliminate cyclonic flow.
Durable Materials of Construction
The High Beta
® is constructed from 304 Stainless Steel. The VAP
3® is constructed from extruded 6063 series aluminum with a final process Teflon hard anodized coating, yielding a durable surface hardness of Rockwell 65C.
Minimal Pressure Loss
The High Beta
® will yield a minimal pressure drop of 33% of the dP. A regain option is available to further reduce or eliminate the pressure drop.
Regain Option
The High Beta
® is available with an optional regain section, which will reduce the pressure drop to less than 22% of the dP and in many cases may provide an added benefit of decreasing the overall pressure drop by eliminating the energy depleting turbulence and reverse flow.
Pressure Rating and Flanges
The High Beta
® is available in low pressure or high-pressure models with flanges to match.
In Duct Sensors Are Passive
There are no active, electronic components or moving parts that are installed within the air stream, therefore eliminating maintenance costs and ensuring reliability.
