QVT DP AND MULTIVARIABLE SMART TRANSMITTER

QVT Multivariable Smart Transmitter for measuring the velocity pressure or Differential Pressure across any flow element in order to measure the flow of air through a duct
The QVT from Eastern Instruments is available in the SV (Single Variable) or MV (Multivariable) mode and has been optimized for the extremely accurate flow measurement of air and gas at or near atmospheric pressure (5 - 25 psia). Allowing for the measurement of up to four separate process variables including Differential Pressure, Temperature and Absolute Pressure, the QVT will calculate the fully compensated mass flow of air or gas in nearly any duct. When coupled with any Differential Pressure based flow element, the QVT ensures extremely accurate flow measurement down to +/-0.50% of Reading over 100:1 range of DP and 10:1 flow turndown.

INTRODUCTION TO TECHNOLOGY

QVT CONFIGURATIONS

The QVT can be configured as either a multivariable transmitter or as a single variable transmitter, measuring DP (Differential Pressure). The various configurations are listed below.

SV: SINGLE VARIABLE
DP TRANSMITTER

QVT Differential Pressure Transmitter with 4-20 mA Output of DP
The QVT can be utilized as a single variable Differential Pressure (DP) Transmitter that will accurately measure the differential pressure of flow across an accompanying flow element. The flow element can either be an EI manufactured flow element or an existing flow element by a manufacturer of choice. The QVT single variable transmitter is configured to output a 4-20 mA signal that is equivalent to the DP.

QVT Differential Pressure Transmitter with 4-20 mA Output of mass flow
The QVT can also be used to accurately measure flow. If both Temperature and Absolute pressure are relatively constant, the QVT can calculate mass flow based on a measured DP and an input or constant value for temperature and absolute pressure. The QVT DP Flow Transmitter can be extremely accurate as long as temperature and Absolute pressure remain constant. The QVT MF - DP Transmitter is configured to output a 4-20 mA signal that is equivalent to the flow through a duct.

Learn More About Eastern Instruments' Multivariable Smart Transmitter

QVT Multivariable Smart Differential Pressure Transmitter with 4-20 mA Output of Flow
The QVT is at its most accurate as a multivariable transmitter where it can measure up to four unique process variables including Differential Pressure, Process Temperature and Absolute Pressure. The QVT will remain extremely accurate regardless of the changes in process temperature or Absolute Pressure. The QVT then calculates mass flow based on these measured variables. The QVT MF - Multivariable Transmitter is configured to output a 4-20 mA signal that is equivalent to the fully compensated mass flow of air flowing through a duct.
